As with all of Guadagno’s wines, terroir is the key for this Falanghina. The vines are planted in 1.5 hectares of the Bonito hills at 350 meters of elevation. The property is in a cooler, more mountainous sector of the Avellino, making for great diurnal range and a longer growing season (particularly compared to Falanghina grown on the other side of the Avellino that might be harvested 2/3 weeks prior on average. With that, this wine is a bit more serious and refined, with citrus and chalky mineral notes rather than tropical and ripe fruit.
