This 2017 vintage was produced from the vines of the "Clos des Fourches" plot in Tauxières-Mutry, which were specifically selected for their concentrated aromas and freshness.
Composition : 100% Chardonnay. Aged for 11 months in oak barrels for enhanced aromatic harmony.
Aromas : The delicate, airy side of Chardonnay, while retaining the powerful characteristics and fruitiness of the wines from the southern side of the Montagne de Reims, reminiscent of the great wines of Meursault.
Award : Gault&Millau - "A very fine, charming, and intense Champagne. The rather pronounced nose reminds us of some Chardonnays from the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy: honey blossoms, minerality, and notes of fleshy fruits (apples and pears) with tart hints. On the palate, it is creamy and round, with a layer of oak and great pastry-like delicacy. With its lovely bitterness on the finish, it would be ideal with roasted lobster served with a ragout of green apples infused with verbena."
Notes: Elegant, fruity, pastry notes, oak vinification
