From winemaker Randall Graham, one of the original Rhone Rangers that popularized Rhone varieties grown in the United States.  Popelouchum is a new project attempting to grow a densely planted vineyard entirely from seeds rather than the traditional cuttings grafted onto rootstock with the goal of creating more resilient vines through greater genetic diversity.  Randall is already a legend in the wine world and this projects will likely be his magnum opus, so get these wines while you still can.

An intensely characterful blend of dry farmed Grenach Blanc and Grenache Gris (a very rare variety in the US).  Notes of apricot, marcona almond, and pear.  Richly textured and full bodied with moderate acidity.  A consumate food wine.  Try with grilled seafood, roasted chicken, or savory root vegetables.
