Stefan’s vineyard site in Egna is part of a region heralded for its great Pinot Noir.  One of the few DOCs for this grape in Italy, the grape excels with the drastic diurnal range and elevation.  Relative to Burgundy, Stefan describes his wines as having slightly higher alcohol and a bit lower acidity, with aromas more towards strawberry and less influence from wood.
