Syrah (50%), Grenache (50%) from Renaissance Vineyard in North Yuba. The Syrah and Grenache vines were first planted in the late 1970's and produce very low-yields of concentrated fruit. The grapes were harvested over a two week period and hand destemmed. The wine was pressed after ten days of maceration to complete fermentation and matured in neutral oak for 18 months. Bottled with a minimal addition of so2 (22ppm), unfined and unfiltered.
