The Deforville family moved to Piedmont in the late 1800s, and has been farming and making wine in the area for five generations now. Their wines are produced using traditional methods of long maceration, aging in large format oak vessels, and bottling their red wines without filtration.
Loreto is one of the family's three single vineyard designate Barbarescos, and it showcases a full-bodied earthy profile with lots of umami and strong, grippy tannins. A real value in the world of single vineyard Nebbiolo.
