Roughly 90% Merlot, blended with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. Dusty saddle, menthol, blueberries, cassis, brush, black currant, old cedar box. Palate is dark, black ripe berries, licorice, spice and edgy tannins that pair with heartier food and stews. Has much of the elegance of its more illustrious neighbors, but at a much lower price tag.
